India vs Afghanistan

India secured a strong win over Afghanistan in a T20 World Cup Super Eight match, winning by 47 runs after setting a target of 182. This match, held in Bridgetown, marked India’s first appearance in the Super Eight phase, and they made a memorable start by overcoming Afghanistan’s initial momentum.

Batting first, India lost captain Rohit Sharma early on, but Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli helped stabilize the innings. Contributions from Surya Kumar Yadav (53 off 32 balls) and Hardik Pandya (32 off 21 balls) ultimately brought India to a competitive score of 181/8. For Afghanistan, Rashid Khan and Fazal Haq Farooqui were standout bowlers, each taking three wickets and helping to contain India’s explosive batting lineup.

Afghanistan's chase started with promise, but Indian bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah, managed to stifle their scoring. Despite notable efforts from players like Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Afghanistan fell short and were bowled out for 134 in the final over.

This victory places India in a strong position within the Super Eight, boosting their chances for advancing in the tournament and building momentum for future matches.
