Baba siddique murder

 Today's tragic news centers on the murder of Baba Siddique, a prominent Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader, who was shot dead in Mumbai on the night of October 12, 2024. His death has sent shockwaves through Maharashtra’s political landscape. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the assassination, which has been described as a carefully planned attack. Three assailants fired multiple shots at Siddique, and two suspects have been arrested, with police still searching for a third. Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister, will be honored with full state honors during his funeral today. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde confirmed the state will pay respects to Siddique for his service to the state as a politician and former chairman of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority.


The incident has drawn widespread condemnation, and political leaders, including Ajit Pawar and Zeeshan Siddique, have expressed deep grief. The Mumbai police are intensively investigating the case, with several teams working to uncover the complete picture behind the assassination.
